We're Bluewater Plumbing — a licensed C-36 contractor based in La Jolla. Coastal San Diego homes are tough on plumbing: salt air, slab construction, 60-year-old galvanized pipe. We work on it every single day, and we show up when we say we will.
What we do
Flat, written quotes before we start. No surprise line items, no "while we're here" upsells. If we open a wall, we tell you why first.
Kitchen lines, laundry lines, main lines. We snake first, camera when it keeps coming back, and hydro jet roots and grease out of older clay laterals.
Same-day replacement of 40 and 50 gallon tanks, plus tankless installs and descaling. We handle the permit and the seismic strapping — it's not optional in San Diego.
Acoustic and thermal detection to pinpoint leaks under slabs without tearing up your floor on a guess. Then we reroute or spot-repair, whichever costs you less.
Whole-house copper and PEX repipes for homes still running galvanized or polybutylene. Most repipes done in 2–3 days with walls patched before we leave.
Faucets, toilets, shower valves, garbage disposals, pressure regulators. Bring your own fixture or pick from what we stock on the truck.
Video inspection with a recorded copy for your records — great before buying a home. Spot repairs and trenchless lining when the line is worth saving.
Who you're calling
I'm Danny Reyes. I started turning wrenches at sixteen in my uncle's shop in Clairemont, got my C-36 license at twenty-six, and opened Bluewater Plumbing in 2014 out of a garage in La Jolla. Today we run three trucks out of La Jolla — and I'm still on one of them most days.
Coastal homes here have their own problems. Salt air eats fittings. The 1960s houses in Bird Rock and the Shores are full of galvanized pipe at the end of its life. Slab leaks show up as a warm spot on the floor and a water bill that doubled. We've seen all of it, hundreds of times, which is why we can usually tell you what's wrong — and what it'll cost — before we pick up a tool.
Every tech on our crew is background-checked, badge-carrying, and trained to leave your home cleaner than we found it. Shoe covers and drop cloths aren't a nice touch; they're the job.

From our customers
"Slab leak under our kitchen. Danny found it in twenty minutes with the acoustic gear, rerouted the line the same week, and the quote didn't move a dollar. First plumber I've ever recommended by name."
KarenBird Rock"Water heater died Friday night before family came into town. They had a new 50-gallon tank in and permitted by Saturday noon. Tech wore shoe covers, hauled the old one away, zero mess."
MiguelPacific Beach"They repiped our 1962 house in three days and you can barely tell they opened the walls. Water pressure is like a different house. Worth every penny."
