Our story
Three generations up the hill from the harbor
I grew up in Loma Portal, in a family that worked Point Loma's tuna boats for two generations. My grandmother's kitchen smelled like strong coffee and bread at dawn — she fed half the fleet before they cast off.
After ten years baking in Portland cafés, I came home and opened Harbor Lane in 2019, in an old chandlery storefront near the harbor. We kept the fir floors, built the long community table from a salvaged dock timber, and started the lending shelf with my grandmother's own paperbacks.
What we're after is simple: the kind of place where the barista knows your order, your dog gets a biscuit on the patio, and nobody minds if you stay all morning with a book.
